Document Description
The purpose of this project is for the placement of monument signs at the Huntington State Beach Least Tern Natural Preserve. The scope of this proposed project includes: (1) the placement of two (2) monument signs reading: "Lease Tern Natural Preserve" to identify the Preserves purpose and meaning within the park boundary and (2) an additional interpretive kiosk to be placed adjacent to the existing kiosk. Both signs and the kiosk will be placed outside of the preserve.

There is no potential for significant impacts to the environment in compliance with CCR Section 15300.2. The project is exempt under CCR Section 15311 Class 11 (a) as "on-premise signs" which is considered the placement of minor structures accessory to existing facilities. This project is also exempt under the CDPR list of exempt activities as permitted by CCR Section 15300.4 as the "installation of signs."
