Document Description
The purpose of the Newcastle 12-inch Treated Water Pipeline Project is to give redundant supply to the community of Newcastle. The expanded pipeline is not to accommodate new growth, but rather to comply with PCWA's new standards of pipe size. The project will also increase fire flow capabilities in this area of the Newcastle system. The project will replace an existing four-inch diameter treated water pipeline with a 12-inch diameter pipeline and connect to (approximately 0.21 miles) of 12-inch ductile iron pipeline beginning near the intersection of Taylor Road and Highway 193 and ending south of the subway under the Union Pacific Railroad line in Newcastle. The pipeline trench will be open cut through the subway.
