The Lockheed Channel is a 12 foot wide concrete lined box channel that conveys urban runoff and storm flows to the Burbank Western Channel, a tributary to the Los Angeles River. The scope of the project is to clean the channel from Hollywood Way to the Burbank Western Channel prior to storm season in order to maintain the hydraulic design capacity and remove trash and debris potentially detrimental to downstream waters.
