The drinking water from the system has levels of arsenic that have been found to be near or above acceptable regulatory standards. A Safe Drinking Water State Revolving Fund grant is being sought for investigation, testing and engineering desgin services to determine a feasible option to address elevated arsenic levels. The options may include treatment of all or a portion of the water depending upon the cost of a larger treatment plant versus the amount of needed infrastructure improvements.
