Document Description
This project involves the approval of a Removal Action Workplan (RAW) by the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) pursuant to Helath & Safety Code, chapter 6.8. The RAW was submitted by Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) as a Draft Final document on December 20, 2010. The RAW focuses on excavation and off-site disposal of site soils impacted with excessive levels of carcinogenic and non-carcinogenic polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), lead, total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH), benzene, ethylbenzene, and arsenic. The purpose of the project is to mitigate impacted soils that exceed the project-specific human health and environmental risk criteria to minimize human exposure to, and migration of, the identified chemicals of concern (COCs).
