SCH# 2009041145 AV Solar Ranch One, LLC submitted an application to DOE for a Federal loan guarantee to support construction of a commercial 230 MW photovoltaic solar power project. The facility would occupy approximately 2,100 acres in the Antelope Valley, in unincorporated Los Angeles County, CA. The site is former farmland that has been abandoned due to the lack of water. The power generated at the proposed facility would connect to a planned substation approximately four miles north of the facility. The proposed facility and approximately half of the electrical interconnection transmission line are located in northern Los Angeles County, CA. The remaining portion of the electrical interconnection transmission line and the planned substation are located in southern Kern County, CA.
