Document Description
The project applicant, the United States Pipe and Foundry Company, LLC (U.S. Pipe) is proposing to replace the existing baghouse (air filtration equipment) on its iron pipe manufacturing plant with a new, more efficient baghouse. The existing positive pressure, shaker baghouse would be replaced with a more modern induction draft pulse jet baghouse. Emission gases from the new baghouse would be vented through a new 100-foot-tall stack. The project would also include installation of a new heat exchange flue gas cooler upstream of the baghouse in the plant's cupola emission system, replacing an existing water-injection gas cooler.
