Document Description
Note: Extended Review Per lead The Sutter Butte Flood Control Agency (SBFCA) is proposing the Feather River West Levee Project (FRWLP) to reduce flood risk in the Sutter Basin, which includes portions of Sutter and Butte Counties. The project area for the FRWLP is focused on the corridor along the west levee of the Feather River from Thermalito Afterbay on the north to approximately 4 miles north of the confluence with the Sutter Bypass on the south. This corridor is roughly 500 feet toward the land side of the existing levees and 100 feet toward the water side. This corridor was determined as the area in which levee improvements, such as seepage berms, stability berms, relief wells, setback levees, erosion protection, and slurry cutoff walls, are likely to occur. The corridor is approximately 41 miles long. The project area would also include borrow/spoil sites or project mitigation sites outside of this corridor.
