Addendum to the Feather River West Levee Project Final EIR

This addendum has been prepared to update the EIR to allow the CDFW to issue an incidental take permit for the FRWLP under Section 2081 of the California Endangered Species Act. The addendum addresses updates to two mitigation measures identified in the FEIR - Mitigation Measure WILD-MM-6: Avoid and Minimize Construction Effects on Giant Garter Snake and Mitigation Measure CR-MM-1: Perform Data Recovery Information Useful in Research. The mitigation measure modifications addressed in the addendum are the following: 1. Additional actions to avoid and minimize construction-related effects on giant garter snake have been added to Mitigation Measure WILD-MM-6: Avoid and Minimize Construction Effects on Giant Garter Snake in response to new information from the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) regarding how often the snakes utilize burrows during the active season. 2. At the request of the United Auburn Indian Community of the Auburn Rancheria (UAIC), Mitigation Measure CR-MM-1: Perform Data Recovery to Retrieve Information Useful in Research has been modified to include alternative mitigation methods in lieu of data recovery.
