- Application proposes implementation of the Rio d'Oro Specific Plan on a 685 acre site in unincorporated Butte County south of the City of Oroville, CA. As proposed the project would include 2,700 residential units and two commercial centers comprising 248,000 sq. ft. of space. Public facilities would include a school site and public safety office space. Approximately 65 acres are proposed for parks and open space; 246 acres would be placed in environmental conservation. The project would require adoption of the Rio d'Oro Specific Plan, amendment to the General Plan Map from "Specific Plan to be Developed" to "Rio d'Oro Specific Plan"; zoning would be revised be consistent with General Plan Map amendment.
