Document Description
A Special permit to reduce the streamside management area along McKee Creek and the Mattole River. A single family residence and on site sewage disposal system is proposed. The two story, one bedroom residence will be approximately 68 feet from the stream transition line to the Mattole River and approximately 88 feet from the stream transition line to McKee Creek. Typically a 100 foot setback to perennial water source is required. The streamside management area is also proposed to be reduced to allow for the specific effluent line to cross over McKee Creek. The line will be supported by two piers placed for a span of 108 feet. Alternatively, the effluent line may be attached to the existing county bridge on Briceland-Thorne Road if proper permission is granted. This would not require additional setback reductions. The leachfield for the sewage disposal system will meet the 100 foot streamside management area setbacks without exception. Water service will be provided by an existing well at the site. No trees are proposed to be removed and minimal grading is required.
