Document Description
Friends of Oceano Dunes proposes to hold the annual poker Run at ODSVRA Thursday through Sunday, July 1-4, 2011, over the July 4th holiday weekend. The Poker Run event would comprise safety displays and merchandising booths on four days (July 1-4, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.) and a non-timed poker run and raffle event on a single day (July 3, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.). All activity would occur in the camping and open riding area of the ODSVRA. The Poker Run is a low speed, non-race event on a linear course roughly five miles with six checkpoints each comprising a small card table and a pole with a flag staffed by volunteers. It is anticipated up to 200 vehicles may participated by visiting the checkpoints and drawing cards for poker hands. All pre-existing ODSVRA camping and vehicle limits would remain in effect during the event.
