Document Description
The General Plan Housing Element Update will establish new policies, goals and programs for the entire city. A preliminary Draft Housing Element is available for review at the following website address: http://www.malibucity.org/download/index.cfm/fuseaction/download/cid/16685/
In addition, the City plans to develop a program to upzone a limited number of parcels to accommodate the City's required housing needs as determined by Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG). The City's assigned Regional Housing Needs Assessment (RHNA) number is 441 units. Based on RHNA, the City must accommodate 115 very low, 73 low, 79 moderate and 174 above moderate income households in addition to its current hosing stock for the period from 2006 through 2014.
