Document Description
SANBAG is proposing to extend Metrolink service approximately one mile east from the existing San Bernardino Metrolink Station/Santa Fe Depot to the proposed San Bernardino Transit Center in downtown San Bernardino, California. The Downtown San Bernardino Passenger Rail Project consists of several major components, including double-tracking the existing rail corridor (westernmost one mile of the redlands branchline), construction of rail platforms, station amenities, parking lot near the transit center, grade crossing improvements and closures, railroad signalization, and roadway improvements. Other improvements include darinage facility improvements, replacements, and extensions, utility replacements/relocations, and implementation of safety controls.
