Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife is executing a Lake or Streambed Alteration pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game code. The Project includes the installation of 37 wind turbine generators and supporting infrastructure to operate them as a wind power generation facility. Major components of the Project include up two (2) permanent and one (1) temporary meteorological tower, on-site and off-site access roads, fencing, clearing and grading, underground communication cables, underground and overhead collection systems, overhead transmission lines, two (2) collector substances, a 7.6 mile, 230-kilovolt (kV) generation tie line, laydown area, and O&M activities. Grading for the Project will excavate, contour and place fill in a portion of Oak Creek and several unnamed ephemeral tributaries. Project components that will occur in CDFW jurisdictional areas include road construction, widening of existing stream crossings, culvert and rip-rap installation, and the trenching of underground electrical collection lines.
