- Document Description
- This project will evaluate both the technical design considerations and ability to capture carbon dioxide (CO2) from natural gas combine cycle (NGCC) power plants, and also estimate the costs and performance impacts associated with capture and storage of a plant's CO2 emissions. Project work will include development of the following evaluations and reports: 1. A basic evaluation of CO2 capture technology options for use at NGCC power plants; 2. An engineering and economic assessment report on the installation and operation of selected CO2 capture technologies, in retrofit and new-build applications, at California utility-scale NGCC power plants; and 3. A preliminary design report for a pilot-scale CO2 capture, compression/dehydration, transport, and injection well test facility.
