Document Description
The project will fund the installation of up to 337 electric vehicle chargers in existing public and private parking lots, structures, and spaces throughout counties in the Bay Area. Each charger is approximately 2' wide x 4' tall, with a sign that is 1' tall by 8" wide. The chargers would not eliminate, change, or intensify parking capacity in the parking lots. Some locations will require minor trenching to install the chargers, with the land restored to its original condition after installation. The project benefits electric vehicles users and the public by providing cost-effective public charging, demonstrating the feasibility of alternative and renewable vehicle technology, reducing reliance on petroleum fuels, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
