Document Description
The project entails replacement of three deteriorated culverts. Existing corrugated metal pipes will be replaced with high density polyethylene pipes. The pipes will be adequately sized to convey a 100-year storm event. The trenches will then be backfilled, compacted, and resurfaced. New concrete headwalls will be constructed at the inlets. A small quantity of rock will be placed at the outlet to dissipate energy and prevent erosion. Construction will primarily take place within the existing road prism. The total surface disturbance will be ~ 170 feet. Temporary surface disturbance outside of the road prism will be limited to 10 linear feet at the inlets and outlets. Issuance of a Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2010-0282-R3 is pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1602.
