Document Description
The above project will designate 3 shallow water crossings at Clay Pit SVRA and install a total of 6 stream gauges with signs saying "Designated Water Crossing-Variable Depth". These stream gauges will help to distinguish how deep the water is especially during flood stage as well as delineate the shallower crossing edges when the banks are no longer visible. This will improve public safety in the area by defining crossings and will allow park employees and visitors to assess the water crossing depth accurately. All stream gauges with signs will be installed out of the water and on top of the bank. Signs will be installed with an adjustable metal sign post as the base so when they are not needed they will be removed.
