Document Description
This project will remove one hazardous Monterey pine on the fire station property. The tree to be removed is a large Monterey pine which is leaning at a 30 degree angle over the community room, parking lot, and neighboring structure and presents a serious hazard which needs to be addressed before it crashes into one of the buildings. The tree will be felled either by state employees or contractors using chain saws. The large material will be cut up and used for firewood. The limbs will be chipped and used as mulch on the property. No equipment shall leave the paved road prism to complete this project. It is anticipated that minor damage to a fence and landscaping will result upon removal of some of the trees. CAL FIRE/Carmel Highlands Fire Protection District will repair, clean up, and re-landscape the area upon tree removal.
