Document Description
The proposed Project would reinforce the existing deteriorating bridge abutments. On the right bank (looking downstream), the existing abutment is approximately 12 feet wide. Additional concrete would be poured over the deteriorating segments in two (2) locations, with the additional concrete measuring approximately 8-inches thick and 36-inches wide, and 84-inches high. A layer of concrete would be added to the center abutment to protect the deteriorating abutment. The new layer of concrete woud form a new "skin" over the existing concrete and woud not significantly increase the size of the center abutment.
