Document Description
The RAW focuses on excavation and removal to mitigate soils impacted with excessive levels of organochlorine pesticides (OCPs - dieldrin and chlordane) and lead onsite. The purpose of the project is to mitigate impacted soils that exceed the project-specific human health risk criteria to minimize human exposure to the identified chemicals of concern (COCs). The estimated volume of impacted soils is 110 cubic yards or approximately 165 tons (~8 to 10 truckloads). The cleanup levels for these COCs are 0.035 milligrams per kilogram (mg/kg) for dieldrin, 0.43 mg/kg for chlordane, and 80 mg/kg for lead based on the California Human Health Screening Levels (CHHSL) for residential soil established by the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment.
