The San Diego Gas and Electric Company's Southwest Powerlink, a 500-kilovolt, above ground electrical transmission line, traverses an easement across the southern portion of the subject property. No habitable structures or known subsurface utilities are present on the property. The Department of Parks and Recreation is acquiring the property to consolidate parcels and promote management of the property for viewshed, habitat, and water quality conservation.

Consolidate parcels and promote management of the property for viewshed, habitat, and water quality conservation. Class 13 consists of the acquisition of lands for fish and wildlife conservation purposes including preservation of fish and wildlife habitat, establishing ecological reserves under fish and Game Code Section 1580, and preserving access to public lands and waters where the purpose of the acquisition is to preserve the land in its natural condition. Class 25 consists of transfers of ownership in interests in land in order to preserve open space, or historical resources.
