Document Description
The proposed action involves the sale of the UCLA Carter House and Hannah Carter Japanese Garden ("the Properties") located at 626 Siena Way and 10619 Bellagio Road, respectively. In 1964, The Regents acquired the Hannah Carter Japanese Gardens using gift funds provided by former Regent Carter designated for such purpose. The UCLA Carter House was also acquired in 1964 via a gift subject to a life estate with the remainder interest transferred to The Regents in 1971. The Properties consist of two separte legal parcels of which the UCLA Carter House and grounds is 0.85 acres and the Hannah CarterJapanese Garden parcel is 1.09 acres.
