- Under this project, TRPA will coordinate with the Tahoe Resource Conservation District (TRCD) to focus on areas that the Lake Tahoe Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) has shown as "Hot: spots of pollutants including fire sediments (,16 microns particle size) and Nitrogen and Phosphorus), and verified on-site by the local jurisdictions as being directly connected to surface water, At least 350 property owners will receive a notification letter from the TRPA to install BMPs, and the TRCD will provide technical assistance follow-uo (using seperate funding sources). It is assumed that many of those properties will have dirt driveways and need a BMP Retrofit permit (free to the public) to pave a parking pad.
