The applicant seeks approval of a land use permit and development plan to allow the continued operation of an existing building contractor's yard. On May 9, 1979, the Zoning Administrator approved County File #2009-79, which allowed the establishment of a yacht sales yard in the northeastern corner of the subject property. Approximately seven years later the yacht sales use ended, and was replaced by a building contractor's yard in the same location on the property. The existing contractor's yard has been in operation at the site for approximately 25 years, but the land use permit was never amended to allow the contractor's yard. There is no proposal to expand…the capacity, location, or manner in which the contractor's yard has been used for the past 25 years.
