Document Description
The California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) is considering approval of the final remedy, identified as Alternative 3 in the Feasibility Study and Remedial Action plan (FS/RAP) for the Oakland Power Plant (OPP) site (the Site). The FS/RAP, which is incorporated by reference, summarizes the final remedy and its proposed implementation activities.
The FS/RAP proposes a cleanup plan for removal of hydrocarbon-contaminated soils on the power plant parcel and in the street area, capping contaminated areas at the power plant parcel and adjacent sidewalks areas, land use restrictions, ongoing operation and maintenance of the caps, and monitoring of groundwater.
