Document Description
This Initial Study/Negative Declaration (IS/ND) has been prepared to address the environmental impacts of the proposed Sierra Tract Extension Control Project Phases 1c Project. The Proposed project will result in the construction of additional retro-fit water quality improvements in an older existing residential neighborhood in South Lake Tahoe, CA. The improvements have been designed in accordance with the Regional Storm Water Quality Improvement Committee (SWQIC) and California Tahoe Conservancy (Conservancy) Program Objectives and Preferred Design Approach for such facilities in the Lake Tahoe Basin, emphasizing source control first, then hydrologic controls, and finally, treatment controls. The source controls included in the proposed project are designed to stabilize soils and prevent associated nutrients from entering the storm water runoff stream.
