Document Description
The project proposes to cap and abandon the existing northern inlet and storm drain in favor of routing water from the existing and new impervious surfaces on the northern portion of the driveway through a "over side drain" or curb inlet and into the ditch below. This will allow landscaped based treatment of the runoff and ground water recharge of the water from the northern side of the drive to occur. The existing drain inlet connected to the 42'' concrete pipe currently serving the ditch would provide for water conveyance during large storm events and times of high water flows. Portions of the southern driveway expansion would continue to be served by the existing catch basin blind connected to the larger concrete storm drain while the areas further south along Llano Road will be served by a new curb drain which conveys any remaining water into the ditch below, also allowing land based treatment of the runoff and ground water recharge of the water from the southern side of the drive along Ilano Road.
