Policy for Water Quality Control for Siting, Design, Operation, and Management of OWTS (Septic Systems)
OTH - Other Document
The proposed project is the adoption and implementation of a statewide onsite wastewater treatment system (OWTS) policy as required by Water Code sections 13290 et seq. The proposed policy would be administered by the regional water quality control boards after incorporation into their water quality control plans (also called basin plans). Local agencies seeking authority to do so could implement the Policy along with the regional water quality control boards, who will be primarily responsible for the implementation and enforcement of the Policy.
