The proposed project entails the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) issuing ITPs under the Endangered Species Act of 1973 (16 U.S.C 1531-1544, 87 Stat. 884), as amended (Act) to the County of Santa Cruz (the County) and the City of Scotts Valley (the City) for the incidental take of the Mount Hermon June beetle from Covered Activities identified in the IPHCP. The proposed project also entails the County and the City accepting the implementation and enforcement responsibilities under the ITPs, via approval by the County Board of Supervisors and the City Council, respectively.
