Document Description
The CA Dept. of Fish and Wildlife is executing Lake or Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2013-0062-R2, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, County of Lake - Public Works Dept.
The project is limited to the replacement of an existing bridge on Soda Bay Road (Bridge No: 14C-0061) crossing Cole Creek. The existing structure is 24-feet long (by 29-feet wide) a single span steel stringer bridge with timber deck boards on concrete abutments. From the banks or the existing roadway, this bridge will be dismantled and removed during the construction of the new structure. The new bridge will be placed in approx. the same alignment but will extend to 46 feet long by 40 feet wide. It will be a single-span pre-cast, pre-stressed, concrete slabs with reinforced concrete wall abutments. The abutments will be extended to support the new bridge. Each of the abutments has wing walls. In-channel work will be limited to removal of vegetation to accommodate the widening of the bridge and to increase the flow capacity underneath the bridge. All debris shall be removed from the streambed with minimal disturbance to the bed.
