Document Description
Adoption of an ordinance which will add "Chapter 6:26: Disposable Bag Reduction" to the Fort Bragg Municipal Code. The ordinance prohibits the free distribution of single-use paper and plastic bags at the point of sale for all commercial retail businesses in Fort Brag, except for restaurants. An exception is made for bag containing at least 40% recycled content, which can be provided to customers for a minimum of $0.10 per bag. The minimum charge for paper carry-out bags would not apply to bags smaller than 250 cubic inches capacity or for restaurant carry-out bags smaller than 440 cubic inches capacity.
