Document Description
This proposed Project involves widening SR 41 for the addition of a northbound passing lane between PM 11.7 to PM 13.2 and a southbound passing lane from post mile (PM) 12.0 to 13.6. Construction will include a 12-foot median on the existing alignment and 8-foot outside shoulders on both north- and south-bound directions.
The Project will result in permanent impacts to 27.37 acres of upland habitat and 0.05 acres of aquatic habitat, and temporary loss of 14.77 acres of upland habitat of California tiger salamander (Ambystoma californiense). The Project may result in incidental take of California tiger salamander, which is designated as a threatened species under the California Endangered Species Act. The ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of species listed under CESA that may occur as a result of Project implementation.
