Document Description
The project will demolish four existing, UCLA-owned, student occupied apartment buildings comprising 116,717 gross square feet (gsf) and construct approximately 196,544 gsf of new, UCLA-owned apartment buildings on two separate sites (Glenrock and Landfair sites) within the North Westwood Village neighborhood surrounding the UCLA campus. The proposed Project will provide a total of 100 apartment units in a mix of 2 bedroom (3 or 4 beds), 1 bedroom (2 beds), and studio (1 bed) units to accommodate a total of 355 beds for upper-level undergraduate and transfer students; a total of 148 below-grade parking spaces; and residential support facilities. As noted, the proposed Project will involve approximately 196,544 gsf of new construction (combined for both sites), or approximately 79,827 gsf of net new construction. Construction is anticipated to begin in mid-2012 with completion in the fall of 2014 for duration of approximately 25 months.
