Document Description
Note: Withdrawn, No further work will be done by the staff on this project per lead. The proposed project is a renewable energy development that would generate up to 411 megawatts (MW) of electricity through the use of wind power on a 7.106-acre project site. The applicant is requesting: (a) a change in zone classification from the E (20) RS (Estate 20 Acres. Residential Combining District) to the A WE (Exclusive Agriculture. Wind Energy Combining) District in Map 182, (b) a change in zone classification from A to AWE in Map 182-36. (c) a change in zone classification from A to AWE in Map 199, and (d) a conditional use permit to allow for the use of temporary concrete batch plants during the construction of the wind energy facility. The requested applications would also permit the construction of wind anciliary faciliites and supporting infrastructure, as well as the concrete batch plants that are necessary to provide concrete and materials for turbine, substation, and building foundations. The project would be supported by a 230-kV overhead transmission corridor that would be connected to the existing SCE Windhub Substation. The project's permanent facilities would include up to 137 wind turbine generators (WTSs), service roads, a power collection system, communication cables, overhead and underground tranmission lines, electrical switchyards, project substations, metorological towers, and operations and maintenance facilities.
