Document Description
Today's Fresh Start Charter School (TFSCS) is proposing to acquire an approximate 2.5-acre property for an elementary charter school. There is a vacant 6-story office building (62,663 s.f.) and parking spaces on the site. The charter school proposes to add portable classrooms to the site (installed July 2009) as a temporary school until a new permanent school is constructed. The new school will have an enrollment of up to 425 students. Two 2-story modular classroom buildings will be installed onsite, consisting of 18 two-story classrooms, a library and counseling room. In addition, a separate building will be constructed for a multipurpose room, which would serve as a gym/lunchroom auditorium. Two options for location of the multipurpose room are being considered. The existing office building will be remodeled and used for the school administrative offices. A portion of the existing parking area will be used for a recreational/play and parking/internal road circulation will be provided.
