- This project, to be carried out by the City of Rancho Cucamonga involves planting 115 trees along the Pacific Electric Trail in the City of Rancho Cucamonga. It is anticipated that this project will commence in April of 2011 and be completed by March 2013. Trees will be native and non-native ornamentals that have been selected for their disease resistance, adaption to the urban landscape, shade capacity, and minimal litter production. Trees will be planted using 15 gallon commercial stock. All trees will be planted, staked and tied, watered and maintained in accordance with the California Department of Forestry & Fire Protection guidelines.
