Document Description
KMEP owns and operates an 8-inch diameter petroleum pipeline. The pipeline crosses a tributary to the South Yuba River; the tributary has re-aligned itself to follow parallel to the pipeline corridor for a stretch of ~150 feet. The creek now runs directly over the pipeline and it original natural drainage is merely a side channel. As a result, KMEP in coordination with the United States Forest Service has developed a restoration project to armor and protect the pipeline, and to restore the stream so that it follows its natural path.
