Document Description
The Red Ravine Siphon conveys raw water from the Boardman Canal in the community of Newcastle. The 800-foot section of pipeline to be replaced is located south of the intersection of Powerhouse Road and Newcastle Road, and would run west between Newcastle Road and Interstate 80. Currently, the pipeline is located under a number of mobile homes in the Castle City Mobile Home Park. The new 24-inch pipeline will be placed within the roadway of Chad Drive of the mobil home park. The pipe is currently leaking in a number of places along the alignment and is in need of replacement. There will be minimal amount of ground disturbance and some tree trimming and possible removal at the site.
