Document Description
The Kingston Flume has experienced multiple leaks from deteriorated tin and timbers. The flume is constructed of wooden timbers which make it susceptible to wildfire, which could compromise the entire water supply system of western Placer County. This project would replace a 200-foot section of the flume with a lined canal and continue to apply gunite to the existing Boardman Canal at Station 750+40 to (754 x 16 feet). PCWA crews would construct the 5' wide by 4' deep gunite-lined canal within the existing easement. The canal maintenance will include removal of deteriorated lining, bank washout restoration and application of gunite lining within deteriorated portions of the existing canal system.
