Document Description
The project will renovate parts of the Fresno County Courthouse. The County of Fresno (County) currently owns the courthouse, but the Judicial Council of California is in the process of completing acquisition of the building from the County. The Superior Court of California, County of Fresno (Superior Court) and the County occupy the building. The scope of work includes structural strengthening of the building for seismic safety and interior modifications and reconfigurations of the central holding area for in-custody detainees, administrative spaces, support spaces, public lobby, and jury assembly area. The project reduces the number of courtrooms in the building for the Superior Court, which reduces the existing use of the facility, and it will also provide improvements to the building's accesibility and fire and life safety systems.
