Document Description
The project includes repairs and replacement of existing sewer lines currently limited by inadequate flows and cross connections with the storm drain system. According to the Project Manager, project construction activities will be at a distance of five feet from any building, scenic or historical resource, and no construction activity will occur in the interior of any building. The work includes replacing a portion of the sewer pipes, replacing manholes, lining one set of sewer pipes, and installing new cleanouts. Outdoor trenching, at a distance of five feet from buildings, will be done to install sewer pipes and components. No new materials or construction will be attached to the exterior of the buildings, and all work will be done within the central portion of the Veterans Affairs Property. The project will renovate an existing State-owned facility and will not involve an expansion of existing use.

Section 15301(b) specifically applies to existing facilities of both investor and publicly-owned utilities used to provide electric power. natural gas, sewerage, or other public utility services. The project will not damage existing scenic or historical resources.
