Vienna Woods trail Reconstruction
NOE - Notice of Exemption
Reconstruct and out slope approximately 225 ft of existing road/trail with heavy equipment along the upper portion of Vienna Woods Trail in the Forest of Nisene Marks State Park to improve drainage and visitor safety. Work will excavate and shape trail tread to 4ft wide by 225ft to correct drainage, construct a second wood turnpike over the exising to reduce steep grade, bolt handrails onto the new turnpike and place woody debris and duff over cut banks, trail bed, and fill slopes.
Project consists of the reapir, maintenance or minor alteration of an existing public facility involving no expansion beyond current levels; construction and location of new, small structures and; mnor alterations in the condition of land and/or vegetation that does not involve removal of healthy, mature scenic trees; and consists of construction or placement of minor structures and included as "trils or road repairs, trail construction or realignment and trail removal" in the Department of Park and Recreation's list of exempt activities, in accordance with CCR Section 15300.4.
