Document Description
The project is the development of a plan and the preparation of permit applications to implement recommended activiites to address the problems of turbidity, mercury, and physical hazards in Humbug Creek watershed that have resulted from historic mining activities. The Sierra Fund is requesting $197,592 in funding from the Sierra Nevada Conservancy's Grant Program for this work. The goal of the Humbug Creek Watershed Assessment and Management Plan is to develop a comprehensive plan to address the water quality and safety impairments in the watershed, while maintaining the cultural significance and integrity of the site.
