The project is the development of a spring protection plan that will identify and map all springs and water features within the approximately 39-acre White Sulphur Springs Ranch (WSSR), assess the quality and quantity of water of each feature, determine ecosystem functions, and develop best management practices to protect springs so that recreational use can occur while protecting water features at WSSR. The Mohawk Valley Stewardship Council is requesting $75,000 in funding from the Sierra Nevada Conservancy's Grant Program to develop the plan.
