Ramona Conservation Easement
NOE - Notice of Exemption
The State proposes to acquire a conservation easement over 89+/- acres of private land for the protection of open space, wetlands and upland habitat in the San Jacinto Valley near the southwestern edge of Mystic Lake. The natural habitat included ruderal farm land, freshwater marshes and managed wetland areas, including ponds. The land is currently in use as a private duck club; that use is expected to continue.
Project involves the acquisition of a conservation easement interest in land for wildlife conservation purposes including the preservation of habitat and the transfer of an ownership interest in land to prevent encroachment of development, and preserve existing natural conditions, including open space and habitat.
