Document Description
SMART is currently evaluating options for rehabilitation and replacement of existing rail bridges over Gallinas Creek, Petaluma River, and Russian River as part of a plan to provide passenger rail service between Cloverdale and Larkspur. The project consists of geotechnical surveys (vertical borings) to support engineering and design of bridge structures. The borings will be completed using either a drill rig mounted on the existing railroad tracks or a floating barge. A total of 15 bores will be completed: Seven at Gallinas Creek and Russian River and one at Petaluma River. SAA 1600-2010-0381-2.
