Note: FYI DOE's proposed action is to issue a Federal loan guarantee to Royal Bank of Scotland to provide funding to Topaz Solar Farms, LLC, to construct and start up the Topaz Solar Farm, a nominal 550-megawatt photovoltaic (PV) solar energy generating facility. The Topaz Solar Farm would be located in eastern San Luis Obispo County, CA. The Topaz Solar Farm would consist of a solar field of ground-mounted PV modules (approximately nine million PV modules within up to 460 PV arrays) and associated equipment to deliver electricity to a new onsite Pacific Gas and Electric Company switching station.
