Document Description
Note: 60 day review The BLM proposes to amend their 1993 Redding Resource Management Plan to designate the (BLM) public lands within Lower Clear Creek Greenway and Grass Valley Creek watershed (Shasta and Trinity counties) as Areas of Critical Environment Concern in recognition of their regionally importance to salmonid fisheries. This designation must be done thru BLM's RMP process and was not achieved in 1993 due to the lack of public land ownership within the two areas. BLM is now the majority owner in both areas and seeks formal recognition with this administrative designation for the public lands. The proposals are well supported by communities and partners of BLM. The likelihood of opposition or controversy is very minute.
